Taylor Swift 'ME!' Official Music Video

Teasing new music for the past few weeks, Taylor Swift last night dropped the first single to her 7th album. Titled 'ME!', Swift set out to create a feel good summer pop anthem.

Collaborating with Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, 'ME!' is a catchy pop tune that sounds like it should be on an animation's soundtrack. It's mostly fun and universal, though unfortunately devoid of personality and the bridge is slightly too cringe for repeat listens. Unlike 1989's 'Shake it Off', 'ME!' can be a bit much.

'ME!' dropped with a psychedelic video full of colourful visuals; it bedazzles, confuses and overwhelms all at the same time. Opening with Reputation era's Karyn the snake, suddenly bursting into butterflies perhaps signals that Swift is done being 'bad', paving the way for a bubblegum pink era (as evidenced by the pastel shades of her instagram and pink streaks in her hair). It's fun, it's silly, it's a new Swift era.

'ME!' is a fun catchy tune that will likely dominate the airwaves and every shopping mall for the next few months. Bring on #TS7
