Birdy 'Words' Official Music Video

Birdy releases the video to her third single 'Words', from her album 'Beautiful Lies'.

The video sees a dreamy Birdy amongst an old greenhouse and candles and lots of fog. The 20 year old singer has been touring Europe and America and will return to the UK in October/November for more dates.

Nashville in Concert LONDON 2016

Let me say first off that it was a dream come true tonight. I don't know how or why but I missed the sale for the tickets on the first night and by some miracle a second night was added (lots of fan tweeting and thankfully the stars and the venue decided to do it)- It was a dream that they brought Nashville to the UK at all and the fact that I got to go was just amazing.

There are so many songs on Nashville that could have been performed tonight by stars Sam Palladio, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen and Chris Carmack, but what made this tour special, what made tonight special, was that each of them performed what Nashville, the show, the place, the experience of the past four years meant to them personally.

All of the emotions could be felt from each of them, who truly love doing this, that goes beyond it being part of their job- it is a part of their lives.

I am extremely thankful to each of them for telling the stories through music of Gunnar, Scarlett, Deacon and Will, but tonight especially showed that each of them had their own stories to tell and through their personal original songs, really got a glimpse of their passion for music and storytelling.

Clare's 'Love Steps In' was an emotional joyride that was so powerful it gave me chills and I'm sure everyone agreed it was one hell of a song, met with a standing ovation. Singing 'Longer' alongside fiance Brandon was also a sweet moment early in the show.

Other highlights include Sam and Clare's 'Fade into You', Chris Carmack on the Saxaphone, guest star Chaley Rose, and a very upbeat 'He Ain't Me' by Charles Esten.

Of course, if the concert could go on forever, I would've loved more tracks from Nashville and from each of them, but what a fantastic show- their love for music, the show and the fans is so strong, by reading and liking our tweets, helping to bring back Nashville for a season 5 and tonight's great energetic performances.

Thank you Clare, Sam, Chris and Charles for sharing your personal stories tonight and I can't wait for many more of the stories of your characters to be told through the show. I can't wait for your albums and hopefully another tour soon! Come back to London!

'Death Stranding' PS4 Games Trailer Preview

I don't even have a PS4 but the teaser for Hideo Kojima's upcoming game for the console looks breathtaking.

The cryptic trailer for 'Death Stranding', featuring Norman Reedus, is only a cinematic introduction, but the amount of symbolism in those few minutes gives us a taste of what is to come- is Reedus' character dead? did he come from a parallel universe? Is there an environmental/Armageddon theme to this?

Slated for a 2017 release, 'Death Stranding' has still a way to go, but boy, does it look good, and surely this will be an engrossing story experience. Check out the trailer below:

Allison Harvard in Spirit & Flesh Magazine by Ellen von Unwerth

Allison Harvard is featured in Spirit & Flesh Magazine, shot by Ellen von Unworth for a mystery issue. Titled A Tale of a Beast and his Beauties, the spread is a dreamy yet quirky concept that features clothes from Bordelle and Louboutin boots, styled by Cynthia Altoriso.

Harvard has been part of several fashion related TV series in Asia recently, and we hope she continues with these editorial spreads!

Disney's 'Moana' Film Trailer Preview

We saw the first poster a few days ago for Disney's upcoming 'princess' film, following on from the success of 'Frozen'.

Little is known about the plot of Moana except that the Oceanic princess goes on a mythical quest with Maui, a demi-God and her pet pig. Whilst the teaser gave very little away, apart from the presence of humour, music and an animal companion, the film looks beautifully animated with an island setting.

Will audiences resonate with this original material featuring another much needed ethnic princess? We'll find out in November when this film drops. Check out the teaser below:

DONTNOD's Vampyr Games Trailer Preview

DONTNOD Entertainment, the guys behind last year's indie hit 'Life is Strange' premieres the trailer to their new game, Vampyr.

Set in plague era London, players are a doctor turned vampire, who must fight to survive. Torn between his oath as a doctor and his new found blood lust, players must choose which path they take as they uncover the truth behind their condition.

The game also appears to have a non-linear story, which may change depending on the player's actions, whilst the element of choice is at the core of the game as well.

'Vampyr' looks to be another compelling and atmospheric game from DONTNOD which I'm extremely excited for, having LOVED 'Life is Strange' and am about to play the first game 'Remember Me'.

The game will will released next year. Check out the trailer below:

Disney's 'Zootopia' Film Review

I finally managed to see Disney's blockbuster hit 'Zootopia' last night (NOT Zootropolis, as its been renamed to in some countries, it just doesn't work as well) and was pleasantly entertained with the Disney formula, but wasn't totally surprising.

The film is set in a world where animals have evolved to lose their predator/prey instincts and live together in harmony, anthropomorthically. One rabbit, Judy Hopps, from the small town of Bunnyburrow has a dream of becoming a cop and is the first rabbit to do so. But when she moves into the heart of Zootopia, things do not turn out the way she thought it would.

Conned on her first day on the job as a meter maid by a wily fox named Nick Wilde, Judy questions her own ambitions, but this same fox may be the key to her solving her first missing persons case, or lose her job.

Favourite AsNTM Contestants Per Cycle

I did this with America's Next Top Model, and now with that gone, and this being my new favourite NTM, it's only fair that I do a post for Asia's too! With another season of Asia's Next Top Model underway, let's have a  look at my favourite contestants from the past Season

AsNTM 1: Helena Chan, Hong Kong
Whilst she wasn't the best editorial model on the show, the combination of smarts, personality and with two first call outs and numerous challenge wins got her to the top 6, till she was rather unfairly eliminated. She was never afraid to voice her opinion or express them facially and was definitely the stand out entertainer this season.

AsNTM 2: Katarina Rodriguez, Philippines
This season was a toughie. It was difficult to really root for anyone... but I guess my favourite would have to be Katarina, who quietly rose to the top 4, but only really emerged as a potential contender at the end.

AsNTM 3: Aimee Cheng Bradshaw, Singapore
Aimee is so far my favourite Asia's Next Top Model contestant ever. Her combination of humour and wits make her the funniest to have participated on the show. Her fresh look and glowing personality allowed her to soar to the top 3, and could have easily taken the prize was it not for the judges' view on her weight. She's since done numerous nationwide campaigns for Neutrogena, appeared in ELLE Style and walked a range of fashion shows.

AsNTM 4: Jessica Barta Lam, Hong Kong
A second girl from Hong Kong makes it onto my favourites list! Jessica was definitely underrated and eliminated prematurely. Since competing on the show, she has walked for New York Fashion Week and starred in a Estee Lauder commercial.

AsNTM5: Coming Soon

Asia's Next Top Model 4 Episode 13 Recap (FINALE)

Sorry this is late, been quite busy with my final hand in- and catching up on sleep! Didn't recap the recap episode- there wasn't really much that was new, though found the format of it quite interesting, with the reveal of who got eliminated on the previous episode happening at the beginning rather than the end.

Anyway, it was Tawan that was saved (bye bye Julian), who will be up against Patricia and Sang In in the finale.

The girls take part in an avant garde photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar, where they embody some weird couture clothing- I think its interesting and out there, but really, more of an artistic shoot than selling clothes.

Sang In
She gave a lot of variety on set and thought she embodied the brief of futuristic Korean styling perfectly. The final photo lacked something in the face but the body position and overall composition is great- don't get the concept overall, but from what was produced, this is one of the best shots imo.

Tawan
She really struggled on set and had to have a lot of help from Yu Tsai, though I think it is a compelling picture overall, the top half definitely better than the bottom- which is a bit shapeless and her hand is awkwardly place. I do think her outfit is far more contemporary and actually looks like it could be on the cover of something.

Patricia
She did well on set and this is a soft photo but its kind of weird and awkward. Not really sure about the shot chosen on the left, the face and head is good for the shot on the right, but the body is kind of a mess.

The final runway sees the girls return to Sentosa. Held in the theatre, they will be wearing designs from Tex Saverio and a local designer whose name I forgot.

Overall, Patricia did the best and commanded the runway. Tawan did well, and Sang In lost the light on both her walks. Wasn't too impressed with the clothes overall- Tex Saverio usually produces something super stunning- like for The Hunger games of even for the final of ANTM Cycle 20! Can't even find very good pictures!

Anyway, after reviewing their photo, their walk and their portfolio... the winner is announced without a score... going to...
