'Captain America: Civil War' Film Review

The hype is real. Captain America Civil War aka The Avengers 2.5 is the best Avengers film out there yet. What works so well is that whilst it is 'masked' as an Avengers film, it really works as a Captain America film, concluding the initial trilogy, that just kept getting better with each installment.

After the events of New York, Washington and most recently in Nigeria, the Avengers' actions are called into question, with governments wanting to monitor and police the enhanced human 'race', which divides the group, with Tony Stark heavily for the bill, and Steve Rogers against.

When Bucky Barnes is seen at the scene of an explosion for the signing of the Sokovia accords, the Avengers are tasked with bringing him in, whilst Steve fights to keep him alive, making him a wanted criminal also.

Believing that his best friend Bucky is framed, Captain America goes against all odds and the other Avengers in order to prove Bucky's innocence.

'Tulip Fever' Film Trailer Preview

The trailer to upcoming period drama 'Tulip Fever' starring Alicia Vikander has been released. The Oscar winner is set to repeat her successful 2015 with this movie, which sees her as a young married woman in 17th Century Amsterdam, trapped in a loveless marriage, falling in love with a painter who paints her portrait.

From the director of 'The Other Boleyn Girl', it looks to be a similar affair, one of deceit, betrayal, threat and even murder? The dramatic trailer once again hints at Vikander being at her best, and she can also be seen in 'Jason Bourne' as well as 'The Light Between Oceans' this year.

The film will premiere this July. Check out the trailer below:

Nyle Dimarco in Nylon Guys Indonesia (March/April 2016)

Nyle Dimarco, winner of the final cycle of America's Next Top Model not only won his US Nylon cover, but after his Oppo Asia tour, managed to secure the cover of Nylon Indonesia as well! I actually prefer this spread to his winning spread, its more laid back and simple.

Dimarco, who is on top of the world right now, is a strong representative for the deaf community, particularly on Dancing With the Stars, in which he is a front runner.

Allison Harvard in Trend Prive Spring 2016

Allison Harvard is featured in Trend Prive Spring 2016 editorial. Shot by Franz Szony, the spread titled 'Painting the Roses' is a dreamy collage of fashion, art and styling. The high concept spread has a timeless quality and Allison is perfect in this shoot, similar to her shoots with Gee Plamenco and Bryan Kong.

Asia's Next Top Model 4 Episode 7 Recap

The girls' challenge this week is an acting challenge revolving around smiling which was kind of random and more for drama, and the winner this week gets a dinner date, and that winner is Patricia.

For the photo shoot, the girls will be doing a close up campaign for Diamond Attraction tooth care, alongside Mike Lewis.

Patricia
She struggles to begin with but after some crazy on set dancing gets better feedback from Yu Tsai and Kelly. She has a nice smile, but think her face is a bit awkward, but she's really selling the necklace?

Tawan
She's awkward to begin with, but manages to get a good shot, think out of all the girls, she has the best connection and its probably the best shot this week.

Sang In
She's not comfortable smiling- she always have that same edgy face, but seems to have gotten a good shot in the end. Sang In has a good shot, but think there's some missing connection with Mike.

Angie
After an ass grab instigated by Kelly and fuelled by Yu Tsai, they seem happy with her shot. Not really sure if that direction was quite orthodox but she got a good shot in the end.

May
Picturing Mike as beef, she manages to get some sweet shots. She looks good, but Mike doesn't really, with a kind of uncertain expression...

Julian
She's posey to begin with but seems to have done ok towards the end. She has a really nice smile anyway, so she doesn't really need to do very much to nail this type of photo.

Tuti
She's uncomfortable with her smile and is awkward, making Yu Tsai work hard to get her in the right place. She needs to be more versatile! Her photo does look awkward, her smile is kind of not proportional, kind of like she's happy that she's hiding a fart or something.

At panel, the judges liked Tawan, whilst being mixed with Julian, with Cindy definitely not approving of Yu Tsai's total hate of her.

In the end, first call out goes to...

Taylor Swift in Vogue Magazine (May 2016)

Megastar Taylor Swift appears in the pages of the May edition of Vogue. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Swift wears Michael Kors, Marchesa and Marc Jacobs. In a futuristically styled shoot, Swift is almost unrecognisable and alienesque.

Having just won a ton of awards for her album 1989, and toured the world, Swift claims to be taking a break... but whether this break will be a long one, or a short one that will see a new album drop this October as per her usual two year gap, is yet to be seen.

Asia's Next Top Model 4 Episode 6 Recap

The girls' first challenge is a Zalora Challenge, but Sang In is missing as she is ill. For the styling challenge, the girls will be paired up and will be competing against each other.

Patricia VS Tuti : Blue

May VS Tawan : Green

Aldilla VS Angie : Red

Julian VS Sang In : Yellow

Most of the girls do well, but in the end, the winning looks were Tuti, Tawan, Aldilla and Julian, each one winning a 15 minute phone call with their family. The losers get 10 minutes each too.

And the best styled girl wins a Zalora shopping spree, and that is... Tuti! She gets 15 seconds to grab as much as she can from the pop-up store. looool she should have just grabbed everything!

For the photo shoot this week, the girls will be wearing Zalora clothes on a yacht, the best performance this week will be the face of Zalora.

Sang In
She does well, with a variety of poses and is not phased by Yu Tsai's shouting. She looks great but think she is looking like the same face every week now- that intense Sang In thing.

Patricia
She kept jumping around and did not have time to do what the Zalora woman wanted, which was just standing still. There is some nice symmetry with that yellow triangle in the back, but the background is completely missing and her contortion is too extreme.

Angie
Seems like she spent all ten minutes doing this hair flick pose. Didn't like the photo when I first saw it but actually quite interesting compared to the rest.

May
She looked really good on set and I actually really like her photo, might be a but missing in the face, but the sort of boyish look really works for her.

Julian
Julian really struggles on set and Yu Tsai gave up halfway. It's not the worst photo but kind of weird. At least she has some life in it.

Aldilla
Her performance was really bland, and her face is kind of dead. She's so gorgeous in the confessionals and at panel, but in photos it's just not there.

Tawan
She looked great and had good intensity, but her lower body is a mess.

Tuti
This was probably her best shoot to date and actually living up to her hype. I think her photo was definitely the best and made the clothes look fantastic.

At panel, the judges liked Tuti and Sang In. It will probably be Julian and Aldilla on the bottom two. So first call out goes to...

'The Huntsman: Winter's War' Film Review

The sequel to 'Snow White and the Huntsman' sees the plot centered on Eric (Chris Hemsworth) and how he came to be a Huntsman alongside Sara (Jessica Chastain), under the watchful and coldhearted eyes of Freya (Emily Blunt, the Ice Queen.

Opening years before Snow White, the tale begins with Freya's heartbreak over a lover and the loss of her daughter, awakening her magical power. Translating her pain into power, Freya raises an army as her children and decrees that love is forbidden, only to discover that her top Huntsman, Eric and Sara, are in love.

Vanquished from her kingdom, the tale then moves to the present future, where Ravenna has been defeated. But when news of the mirror going missing surfaces, Eric is tasked with finding it and bringing it to a sanctuary, but he's not the only one looking for it.

'Suicide Squad' Film Trailer Preview

I'll admit, I have not been that interested in 'Suicide Squad'. The superhero thing is being over done and I just wasn't buying into DC's attempt at taking back some of Marvel's pie. BUT following the second trailer and the latest trailer, I have to say I am kind of won over... by Margot Robbie.

As Harley Quinn, she steals every scene in the trailer and for me, usurps all the hype over the Joker. I am excited to see how the movie fares with the darker, yet slightly fun vibes, but ultimately, I feel it is Margot's bubblegum popping Harley Quinn that will shine through.

Suicide Squad premieres in August and also stars Will Smith, Ben Affleck, Jared Leto, Cara Delevigne, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis. Check out the latest trailer below:

Marvel's 'Dr Strange' Film Trailer Preview

Apart from the highly anticipated and strongly reviewed 'Captain America: Civil War', Marvel's other project this year is Dr. Strange, which has been slowly brewing for the last few months, with shooting finishing last month.

The first teaser trailer has been released following the LA premiere of Captain America, and like many others have noted, Dr Strange takes on a Nolan-esque feel that is darker and feature mindbending elements. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, the film also stars Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Dr. Strange premieres this November. Check out the first teaser trailer below:

'The Invitation' Film Review

Directed by Karyn Kusama, of Aeon Flux and Jennifer's Body, she is known for creating strong female characters. It is a wonder then, that her best work is here, in 'The Invitation', that centers on the mistrust of a man over his ex-wife's new partner.

Will (Logan Marshall Green) is invited out of the blue to a reunion dinner by his ex-wife Eden (Tammy Blanchard) after two years of separation, along with a group of close friends.

What starts off as a normal dinner party with drinks and food takes a dark turn when Eden's new partner David (Michiel Huisman) shows a depressing video which leads Will to believe they are in a dangerous cult. Agitated and suspicious, Will's sanity slowly unravels as he recalls memories, pain and heartbreak.

Asia's Next Top Model 4 Episode 5 Recap

After last week's dramatic and highly orchestrated episode, the girls do not seem hugely affected and are quickly taken to their first challenge, where they pose as 'mannequins' for Madeaw's latest collection, for 30 minutes.

Angie's seated pose is sort of sneaky, but the judges didn't like it. Aldilla did well, despite having an allergic reaction to the dress, and May was ok. Jessica was critiqued as pageanty, Tuti does well with her awkward dramatic shape and Julian's dress started falling apart. The judges loved Sang In's face, Tawan was 'safe' and Patricia does well too.

In the end, the winner was Sang In, who wins an advantage for the next photoshoot, probably more time or more frames. But instead, Sang In gets to choose the group composition for the photo shoot where they will be posing in groups of three.

For the photo shoot, the girls will be posing in groups, and the winner gets to go on a trip to New York fashion week. The concept is 'It' Girl, and as Patricia Field describes it 'Brains, Beauty, and Brand'.

Sang- In, Adilla, Julian
They didn't really work very well as a team and struggled, they looked good individually, but as a photo seems a bit weird.

May, Patricia, Jessica
They also seemed to struggle to work as a group, and got yelled at several times.

Angie, Tuti, Tawan
They seemed to work the best as a group though Angie was yelled at and lost her confidence. Eeek...

At panel, the judges like Sang In, who overpowered Aldilla and Julian. Patricia liked Tuti but Cindy thought her pose was awkward, and Tawan was critiqued, whilst Angie was the weakest in the group. In the last group, May was natural and edgy, Patricia was praised for her pose, Jessica was the weakest, but Yu Tsai defends her for helping the other two shine.

In the end, first call out goes to...

'Hail, Caesar!' Film Review

The Coen Brothers' new movie centers on a Hollywood fixer Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), working for Capitol Pictures, and keeping the stars' scandals from the press.

When one of the studio's top stars Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) is kidnapped, Eddie must cleverly navigate reporters Thora and Thessaly (Tilda Swinton) away from the story, handle a pregnancy and deal with a rising star who can't act.
