Air marshall Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) is threatened on a transatlantic flight with text messages instructing him to arrange for $150 million to be transferred to an offshore account or someone on the flight will die. With everyone on board a suspect, Bill must be careful in who he trusts.
The film was quick to set up and put in place suspects that you watch carefully as the film pans out. The first thing to notice is the presentation of technology and the text messages that give it a strong visual style. Tension grips you right from the start and the claustrophobia of the plane is portrayed effectively.
A few casualties in, the plot thickens in bringing Neeson's Bill Marks into the equation as a potential suspect, which really adds to the drama and action. Conflict between passengers and himself start to tip the balance of control.
As the film reaches its climax, it brings the threat to ultimatum. Ending predictably, the resolve is rather convenient but nonetheless 'predictably' exciting and ticks all the boxes for a Hollywood thriller.
Liam Neeson- Bill Marks
Julianne Moore- Jen Summers
Also stars Lupita Nyong'O, Scoot McNairy and Michelle Dockery.
Liam Neeson plays the same husky deep voiced character once again but successfully delivers the strength and integrity, though at times his character is brash and doesn't help himself in the situation. Nonetheless, it is what you'd expect of him.
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'O cameos as a scared air hostess. Hmm...
'Non-Stop' is a tense thriller that keeps you guessing right till the end. With all the flight incidents happening recently, this isn't one to watch if you don't want to increase those fears! With a strong cast led by Liam Neeson, who plays the same character in almost every movie, 'Non-Stop' is the must see flight-thriller this summer.
