'The Wolverine' Film Trailer Preview

The first trailer to the upcoming Wolverine film has just been released.

Featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in a dark Batman-esque movie set in Japan of self discovery, where his mortal limits are tested. The trailer is slightly confusing but I'm sure it will delight fans of the franchise as it paves way for X-Men: Days of Future Past which will bring back all our much loved characters.

The movie will be released in July. Check out the trailer below:

Margaux Brooke for California Apparel News

Although she didn't win 'The Face', Margaux was clearly the most well rounded model in the competition. Perhaps her personality did not shine through as much, but she gets the job done.

Since the show, she has been signed to Wilhelmina models and is featured in California Apparel News in a military inspired spread. Shot by Ben Cope, the photos show Margaux in a versatile way and is the edgy, powerful style that suits her well.

The Face Episode 8 (FINALE) Recap

So it's the FINALE of The Face- a short 8 episodes, but it has been filled with drama, tension, emotion and fashion filled campaigns. After the 5 minute recap, the girls are introduced to people at ULTA beauty who will ultimately decide who gets the contract with ULTA and be THE FACE.

The girls are then told that they will do three more challenges: interacting with customers at ULTA, an ULTA beauty shot and a finale runway with their coaches, but OH WAIT, one of them will be cut before the finale! Wow (definitely one of Team Karolina I think)! At this, Devyn hyperventilates and has a panic attack.

Arriving at the ULTA beauty store, the girls have a super quick masterclass in learning about all the products and it was a blitz- I had no idea what that woman was talking about and judging by their faces, neither did the girls!

Avril Lavigne Self Titled 5th Album Preview

Despite Avril Lavigne having written songs for this album since 2011's 'Goodbye Lullaby' and the rumoured 2012 release never occured, we finally have news of new music from the Canadian singer.

Between wedding planning (engaged to Chad Kroeger of Nickelback) and running the Avril Lavigne Foundation, as well as designing for Abbey Dawn, Lavigne's new single will be out on April 9th, coinciding with Paramore's self titled album release.

Lavigne has moved record labels after the feud with RCA over the creative of 'Goodbye Lullaby' which was continually delayed, only for it to be released five years after her previous album. Thankfully, the songs which were rejected for GL would likely make an appearance on her new record now that she is with EPIC, reuniting her with LA Reid, who started her career in the first place.

Whilst GL showed that Avril's music has developed, her new single 'Here's to Never Growing Up' sends mixed messages- she IS 28- but it was promised that this album would sincerely be more upbeat.

Confirmed Songs:
-Hello Kitty
-Seventeen
-Here's to Never Growing Up
-Rock N Roll
-Let Me Go
-Bad Girl

Songs which are rumoured to appear on the album include:
-Fine
-Gone
-Candy
-Secret
-Hush,Hush

There has been no announcement of when the album will drop or even what the album is called, but expect a smashing Summer hit album.

Thirteen tracks will be featured on Avril's self titled album!! Hopefully the deluxe will include many of the songs that she wrote in these three years and not just go to waste (like Gone, Fine etc)...!! But it definitely sounds more like a summer album... so this release date is kind of skewed..

Saboteur Card Game Review

From Zman games comes a sneaky card game for up to ten players: "You are dwarves digging for gold, but suddenly, your lantern diminishes, your pickaxe breaks, a mine cart falls your way... oh no! The saboteur strikes again!"

Players are dealt role cards, telling you if you are a gold digger (not that kind!) or a saboteur. Gold diggers try to get to the gold as quickly as possible (concealed cards at the end of the 'playing field', whilst saboteurs need to stop them, but subtly because if their role is identified, they will likely be ganged up on!

Taylor Swift '22' Official Music Video

Taylor Swift releases the video to her fourth single off 'Red'. '22' is an upbeat and catchy song in which the singer celebrates being that age.

The video is an extremely slick and fun video where Swift is seen to have fun with her friends and party. The singer has so much swag in the video it's adorable and definitely shows that she is growing/grown up and not that little girl anymore. Whilst I'm not a fan of the song, the video works really well for it.

'Stay Stay Stay' has been confirmed as the fifth single off the album 'Red', potentially the last, although 'Speak Now' released 6 singles. It bugs me because I think 'The Last Time', 'Red', 'Holy Ground' or 'Everything Has Changed' would make stunning singles... but then again, she may release a track from the deluxe as a single... so... who knows :p

Check it out below:

The Face Episode 6 Recap

The girls' test shoot this week is to shoot a Christian Louboutin commercial with a male model. The winner gets a pair of Louboutins...

Most of the girls were a bit awkward. Devyn brought a Rihanna vibe and her voice it's luscious. Stephanie surprisingly did really well given how awkward she thought she would be, and Zi Lin has no trouble being sexy but her language skills got in the way.

Sandra who was last tried to do something different by kissing the male model which triggered a laughing fit from Naomi which she took offence at and fires up her attitude. I thought Naomi was rather unprofessional, but Sandra's reaction was just as.

Paper Cartographies by Matthew Picton

UK artist Matthew Picton maps famous cities of the world by creating paper relief sculptures, but not only topographically but emotionally. Choosing relevant texts, manuscripts, news and literature, there is a sense of understanding the place. Another dimension is Picton's focus on disaster, shown by the scorching of the paper.

The Daily Dish by Klari Reis

Artist Klari Reis completed this project in 2009 and is doing it once again in 2013, where she will create a painting each day in a petri dish. Despite the limitations of the 'canvas' Reis creates dynamic and dramatic pieces of work, often referencing nature, science, flora and fauna.

I can't wait to keep up with this project throughout the year!

Kelly Clarkson 'Catch My Breath' Official Music Video

I missed this back in November, but Kelly Clarkson released her new song 'Catch My Breath' as part of her Greatest Hits album and also made this video, which in my opinion, trumps the videos from 'Stronger'.

It is simple, colourful and artistic, no need for crazy dance moves- it goes with the style of Clarkson and I feel that this is a good direction for her to take. Her third single off the Greatest Hits album will be 'Don't Rush'.

Check out the music video below:

The Face Episode 5 Recap

The girls' first challenge this week is to do a test shoot incorporating dance movement. After a choreography, the girls will then take a photo whilst doing the dance moves and the girl with the best shot will win a Home Gym.

Devyn struggles with the choreography and walks off set.

Ebony had energy, Jocelyn was flaccid and didn't engage with the modelling aspect, Sandra was confident but didn't deliver that many good shots, Madeleine was quite stiff, Margaux kind of lost it, Zi Lin was fluid but her face was off, Devyn didn't really do the choreography but had some fun shots and Stephanie who has had no dance training, had lots of fun and got some great shots!

The Face Season 1 Episode 4 Recap

Sorry for not recapping this earlier but I had a super busy week and now relaxing to the latest episode of THE FACE!! So the girls discuss Stephanie's 2nd escape from elimination and Marlee questions if she should go home after finding out her family back home is having financial difficulties.

The first challenge is for the girls to be 'Runway Ready', judged by Karolina. The girls need to try to make the quickest outfit change before hitting the runway and striking a pose. The girl with the fastest time will win a $5000 Marshalls gift card.

Devyn takes the lead and watches all the other girls just fall short of her time until Margauex who is the last one come out and wins the challenge! Devyn is a sore loser and questions Margauex's win... which I feel was really rude of her and had she just taken it with grace, made friends with Margauex and they can shop together!

The girls' final time:
Zi Lin 1:18
Brittany 1:24
Devyn 1:09
Marlee 1:39
Stephanie 2:38
Ebony 1:24
Madeleine 1:12
Jocelyn 1:14
Sandra 1:13
Margauex 1:07

Back at the loft, Coco pays Marlee a visit and she decides she wants to go home. Noooo-- Team Coco loses a team member :(

This week's 'campaign' sees the girls do a real runway show- it is for Kleinfeld bridal gowns. The audience gives the girls votes and the team with the most votes will win the campaign.
