Avril Lavigne 'Wish You Were Here' Official Music Video

The Music video for Avril's latest single 'Wish You Were Here' has been released. The raw the stripped down video is apparently directed by Marc Webb, who is working on the Spiderman reboot, 'The Amazing Spider Man', starring Andrew Garfield.

On the wooden floor of an empty room, Avril pours her heart out singing the lyrics of the song, which are personal to her, is seen crying (she tweeted they were genuine tears), setting fire to a flower and rising out of a bathtub.

Whilst the video itself showcased a range of emotions: sorrow, anger, hope... the single cover surprisingly does not. I was extremely disappointed that they chose this cover given it was a promo shot from the album booklet, and the tint of green does not make her right hand look very appealing.

That aside, the overall production of the single and video are good. I'm glad they've finally chosen to do a more meaningful song, as this is slated to be the final single off album 'Goodbye Lullaby'. I wish 'I Love You' or 'Remember When' would be singles too but oh well...
