Designed by Xin-Yu, this cathedral structure was a project designed to replace the cathedral in Vienna, exploring what it would be like "if Art Nouveau had had a greater influence and had lasted for a longer period in Vienna"?
There are some beautiful elements in this design- the fluidity of the structure and the complexity of the form. However, as much as I like the elements, the design is far too futuristic and doesn't work for the context it is being designed for. Maybe in outer space, but here on Earth, a big No.
