Jen Stark 5: Drawings

I've previously blogged a lot about her sculptures, so I thought I'd share with you some of her drawings which are equally mesmerising. Many of her sculptures are described as an "explosion of colour" and this is carried through into her drawings, where individual shapes interact with each other to form an overall picture full of intricate details.

Jen Stark's sculptures and drawings both awaken the child within you. A mood and atmosphere of fun and excitement is produced- these crazy, abstract images evoke imagination and make believe.

Each piece requires time to explore and really look at each part carefully. Every time you look at the drawings, you may discover something new which you haven't seen before. The first thing you notice is the influences from her sculptural work. Some of the colour schemes (rainbows) and shapes (circles, triangles...) used are almost like flattened sculptures amalgamated together.
