Everytime I walk into the V&A, I admire the wonderful glass chandelier that looms above me. Until now, I had not known who created such a beautiful thing. Dale Chihuly. That's who.
Mastering the medium of glass, Chihuly has had his works featured worldwide. Apart from a range of nature inspired glassware (some awesome seaforms), the list of exhibited sculpture and installation go on and on.
My favourite pieces must be the "chandeliers", where ornate pieces of glass are combined to form the most beautiful and fragile things. I just love the way they are almost random but each piece fits perfectly to complete its form.
