Susan Derges Photograms

Susan Derges is another artist that works with cameraless photography and shes has developed this method to a very complex state. She is inspired by the relationship of the viewer to the subject in a photograph. Many of her pieces features the use of photographic paper on water and she captures the ripples of the water and the movement that it takes...

She then takes it a step further by placing organic forms such as leafs and plants into the water. Her work is extremely dynamic and you can definitely see the inspiration taken from a Japanese style as she worked in Japan for a while.

I love some of her pieces and they would make brilliant wall hangings. Check out her work:
