Elephant Parade London 2010

I heard of the Elephant Parade before but didn't really pay much attention to it, and upon bumping into a herd (62) at Picadilly Circus yesterday in London (they were migrating to Leicester Square for West End Live!), I really couldn't avoid loving the concept and all the wonderful creations that were there.

Over 250 elephants were painted and positioned around London and will be auctioned off at the end of the month to raise awareness and money for saving the Asian elephant species. Artists include Matthew Williamson, Paul Smith and Julien MacDonald.

You can still catch them around London until around the end of the month before they get auctioned off and moved to New York!
