Andy Goldsworthy- Nature's Artist

I'm looking at Andy Goldsworthy for my current art project. He is a land artist who has done some pretty amazing stuff and I highly recommend that you look him up... The patience he has with his works is admirable, and some of his creations are just really clever...

I'm looking at flora and the set of work below illustrates the radial pattern often found with flora; the stigma in the centre and the petals outside etc... Goldsworthy's collection of materials and his appreciation for the subtle colour and tone makes the work dynamic... but also the way he creates his pieces- for example the floating leaves in water, and the suspension of twigs in water to achieve the reflection... all very clever!!

Here are just a few of his works...
