Clueless on Politics

OK, so I'm like completely clueless on politics and anything related... I don't know, I just haven't penetrated into the world of politics! I mean, I'm not COMPLETELY stupid and I DO know bits and bobs and do try to read about it (only those that interest me :P), such as our prime minister is Gordon Brown, and he's with Labour Party, right? I've heard of David Cameron and can also picture that bleached blonde guy but can't remember his name or what party he's with....but its a fragmented knowledge, bits and bobs from different areas... and for all we know, it could just be the political propaganda we get through our postbox...

I guess you could call me ignorant, or just that it doesn't really interest me. I mean, It SHOULD, like it affects me and all, but if I had a choice, it wouldn't be an area I'd like to delve into in my free time...

So, most recently, there's that (overrated) programme called Question Time who had the BNP (I think) on there, and apparently it was really funny but I just couldn't bring myself to watch it, even though everyone was going on about it... from what I heard, the guy (Nick Griffin, was it?) kept staring at some woman's boobs or something...

Anyway, from all this hype about the BNP, I guess they're not someone to vote for when it comes to the election...

I have heard of a range of parties: Labour, Conservative, Green (?), Lib Dems, BNP, but do not really know what their policies are and so on...
One of them I THINK want to separate UK from the EU? I think that's just utter rubbish and the EU is a beneficial thing and to detatch us from it is just plain stupid.

Now, why am I even writing this? Because at school during lectures on Friday, we've had a great influx of politically influenced talks, such as a political debate about labour and conservative (I just took their word that what they said was true, don't know much about it), and a lecture from Barry Gardner (is that his name?) who was in the news about monetary claims or something... Yes, it is bad if they are taking advantage of the government system, but surely there are more pressing matters?

To be honest, our world is so shattered and corrupt that politicians aren't really doing that much to improve it, and I personally don't think politics is going to make the change the world needs. Don't get me wrong, the world needs order and perhaps "leaders" to negotiate and so on, but politics as we know it today aren't as it should be, and the amount of misused power and corruption is frankly unknown.

Whilst I will admit to not knowing a lot, or anything, about politics, I DO know what I, as a human being, can do, and that is to live with the correct attitude, knowing that there is so much unfairness in our world, because frankly, if everyone lived like that, there wouldn't be corruption.
